Matilda

Suddenly I felt like I deserve the Cupu Award of the year when everybody told me they watched a movie about an extraordinary little girl called Matilda (some of them watched it several times) and I haven’t even watched the trailer!
Yesterday, while I was waiting for ams to pick me up at my office and I felt like I’ve browsed all of my favorite websites I decided to do one of my killing-time activities: organizing my files :D :D, This time was my ebook files. And here there was, Matilda by Roald Dahl. What a nice coincidence, sort of, because in fact I downloaded the book many months ago… when Charlie and The Chocolate Factory movie was still in the box office :D and not only I’ve had it for such a long time, I’ve also read 3 paragraphs of the first chapter, huhuhu how could I be so forgetful.

What make me feel even more stupid is that the story turned out to be an interesting one, make me wonder why I gave up reading after 3 paragraphs at my first try.
The extraordinary little girl, Matilda, remind me of Amelie. Though Matilda is a very young litle girl and Amelie is a grown up girl, they share some characters. They despise injustice. They’re cunning. Matilda is too wise for her age and Amelie is a little bit childish, so their level of maturity is just about the same :P. And look at what they do to bad people… hihi I wish it could happen in real life.

My favorite quote from the book is: Now look at me, then look at you. You chose books. I chose looks.

So, books or looks? Books or looks? I’m sure if we choose books then we’ll get the looks…. look like a geek, hi95x, beauty IN the geek, hu95x.
