A Series of Unfortunate Events 01: The Bad Beginning

It’s a great book, oh I enjoy reading children book! I haven’t seen the movie but I’d love to… after I finish reading the series. I think it won’t be long to read another eleven books. Besides, I don’t think I can find the DVD quite easily (O, Cilegonian Devil!). It will be nice to hear Lemony Snicket’s voice saying the first line, "If you are interested in stories with happy endings, you would be better off reading some other book…". Well, I allready like the beginning! And the story is sad from the very beginning. But sad story is allright because even as children we always have some sad moments, right?

The Baudelaire children teach us how to deal with their unfortunate fate. Instead of crying or running away or even wishing for their fairy-god-mother to come they THINK and DO something. They ask for help; they read; they learn; they try to solve their problem; they also hope for a better life. Only one thing that puzzles me… they don’t pray :D. I think their parent is not religious and they never teach them how to pray, :). Or I guess not only disbelieve in fairy-god-mother, the writer also doesn’t have a faith for God.

Nevertheless, life is surely not a fairy tale for the Baudelaire children. And yes, it will be good to hear Lemony Snicket’s voice in the movie, the tender, caring and loving voice. Because it is the voice of a real father of three children: Rafferty, Rudy and Iris……Law *kyaaa, ga penting banget sih huhuhu*
