… sungguh-sungguh membuat aku setres!!!

Semalam aku nonton 3 episode Prison Break season 1. Satu setengah episode lancar karena aku udah nonton sebelumnya. Aku terpaksa nonton lagi karena ams belum nonton. Satu setengah episode berikutnya… hwaaa setres sendiri. Ams tegang juga tapi ga sampai setres. Sampai aku beberapa kali mem-pause sambil bilang, “Iklan…! Iklan…!” he he he. Setelah selesai 3 episode aku nyerah deh, dah ga kuat lagi. Ams keukeuh dan nambah 2 episode lagi. Kalau ga inget aku bakalan marah-marah karena dia ga mau bangun pagi, dia bakalan nerusin nonton sampai subuh kali…:P

Sambil setres aku juga mikir-mikir: “La kalau ceritanya gini… kok bisa nyampai season 2 ya…” (udah sampai berapa season sih? Aku baru punya 2 season sih). Aku mengkhawatirkan keberlangsungan serial itu… he he.

Hidup Ini Singkat (That 70’s Show Spoiler Alert)

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

Kenapa? Karena hidup ini singkat, jangan buang-buang waktu.

Beberapa hari setelah aku baca buku itu… aku liat That 70’s Show Season 3 episode Red Forman nyaris ketimpa batang pohon yang ditebang Bob Pinciotti. Lalu dia make a toast di pesta itu, ngomongnya gini: ‘kalau aku mati nanti, aku mau dikubur menelungkup biar orang-orang yang ga suka ama aku…. can kiss my ass’. Hihihihihi….. Baru kali ini aku suka ama Red…biasanya aku benci karakter dia, mungkin karena mirip aku: marah-marah mulu!

Last week is just like long holidays for me… wonderful. My activities (job-related activities are excluded) from Tuesday - Saturday:

1st day:

  • went to Raden Patah, met some friends and ex-boss
  • went to TGA, bought a Sherlock Holmes book for ams, no NH Dini book
  • watched Happy Feet with Dian at Ciwalk (I was surprised, the nomat ticket is just 10.000 rupiah)

2nd day:

  • went to Ciwalk again, felt like I want to buy some stuffs(shoes, bags, clothes) but then I thought: what for? I don’t need to be that stylish at Cilegon, it’s useless :((
  • went to gramedia, bought another Sherlock Holmes book for ams, no NH Dini book
  • went to Vertex and bought 33 dvds 8-}
  • went to Raden Patah, and ordered NH Dini book at bearbookstore.
  • met Hilman, woo… drooled at his apple (I dreamed(literally) of having that apple many years ago)

3rd day:

  • met "a lucky bastard" (maybe because he can escape from a prison hihi) and let him witnessed how a true leecher can do hehe (now who is the criminal here? :D). I got Lost 1&2, Heroes, Prison Break 1, Desperate Housewives 3 and oow I run out of space…and time (because I promised Dian to watch a movie with her again hihi).  Thank you, "lucky bastard"!
  • met my final project supervisor, huhu… I kinda avoid him actually because I’m feeling guilty. He’ve done so many favors for me and I kind of betray him (from my point of view), he turn out to be as kind hearted and friendly as always. We had a nice conversation and I feel relieved.
  • watched Night At The Museum at Blitz Megaplex.

4th day:

  • Went to campus at the morning… dududu it was nice and quite and the weather was so clear…so fresh… Brought some memories back :).
  • Went to Raden Patah (again??!!)
  • Passed by MM Dago and I was surprised… it is renovated!! I also dreamed(literally) of it. Ya ya, I dream of lot of things.
  • Eat baso at Baso Lapangan Tembak BIP
  • Exchanged Lost season 1 dvds with Prison Break season 2. Thank God it’s allowed because actually I can’t exchange a dvd with another dvd with different title but I said I’ve tried to play the dvd using 2 different player and it couldn’t be played… Thank God they bought my words hihi because actually there’s another reason: I’ve downloaded Lost hihi, I didn’t need the dvds anymore :P… Hei! but it truly couldn’t be played by 2 dvd players!!
  • Watch Nobuta Wo Produce with Dian and Fitri… bye cycle! bye bye cycle!!

5th day:

  • Bought Amanda brokus cream cheese…uuu nyam nyam nyam… I like it. I also bought brokus blueberry, but it’s not that good :(
  • Had a reunion with Anjak, Dian, and mr Krabs. Hu hu hu, later on Monday I realized that it was mr Krabs birthday… hu hu hu, too bad it’s too late.

All in all I was having so much fun, thank you my friends…. You make me feel like I’m coming home everytime I go to Bandung, hu hu hu… when will I see you again?

Film lucu… Lucu banget. Mirip-mirip Snatch. Awal-awalnya banyak cerita tapi akhirnya nyambung semua. Eee, udah agak lupa sih ceritanya Snatch, duh ga punya VCD/DVD nya pula. Tapi seingatku mirip-mirip. Gaya bahasanya… Gaya bahasa British penjahat, he he. Trus keminiman tokoh perempuannya.

Matilda

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

Suddenly I felt like I deserve the Cupu Award of the year when everybody told me they watched a movie about an extraordinary little girl called Matilda (some of them watched it several times) and I haven’t even watched the trailer!
Yesterday, while I was waiting for ams to pick me up at my office and I felt like I’ve browsed all of my favorite websites I decided to do one of my killing-time activities: organizing my files :D :D, This time was my ebook files. And here there was, Matilda by Roald Dahl. What a nice coincidence, sort of, because in fact I downloaded the book many months ago… when Charlie and The Chocolate Factory movie was still in the box office :D and not only I’ve had it for such a long time, I’ve also read 3 paragraphs of the first chapter, huhuhu how could I be so forgetful.

What make me feel even more stupid is that the story turned out to be an interesting one, make me wonder why I gave up reading after 3 paragraphs at my first try.
The extraordinary little girl, Matilda, remind me of Amelie. Though Matilda is a very young litle girl and Amelie is a grown up girl, they share some characters. They despise injustice. They’re cunning. Matilda is too wise for her age and Amelie is a little bit childish, so their level of maturity is just about the same :P. And look at what they do to bad people… hihi I wish it could happen in real life.

My favorite quote from the book is: Now look at me, then look at you. You chose books. I chose looks.

So, books or looks? Books or looks? I’m sure if we choose books then we’ll get the looks…. look like a geek, hi95x, beauty IN the geek, hu95x.

A Series of Unfortunate Events 01: The Bad Beginning

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

It’s a great book, oh I enjoy reading children book! I haven’t seen the movie but I’d love to… after I finish reading the series. I think it won’t be long to read another eleven books. Besides, I don’t think I can find the DVD quite easily (O, Cilegonian Devil!). It will be nice to hear Lemony Snicket’s voice saying the first line, "If you are interested in stories with happy endings, you would be better off reading some other book…". Well, I allready like the beginning! And the story is sad from the very beginning. But sad story is allright because even as children we always have some sad moments, right?

The Baudelaire children teach us how to deal with their unfortunate fate. Instead of crying or running away or even wishing for their fairy-god-mother to come they THINK and DO something. They ask for help; they read; they learn; they try to solve their problem; they also hope for a better life. Only one thing that puzzles me… they don’t pray :D. I think their parent is not religious and they never teach them how to pray, :). Or I guess not only disbelieve in fairy-god-mother, the writer also doesn’t have a faith for God.

Nevertheless, life is surely not a fairy tale for the Baudelaire children. And yes, it will be good to hear Lemony Snicket’s voice in the movie, the tender, caring and loving voice. Because it is the voice of a real father of three children: Rafferty, Rudy and Iris……Law *kyaaa, ga penting banget sih huhuhu*

Stupid White Men

Ternyata kenapa? "Oh, these new Beetles—they don’t start unless you drive them every day." Demikian kata pak manajer pelayanan toko mobilnya. Kok? Begini kata pak manajer selanjutnya, “You see, these VWs are run by a computer system, and if the computer hasn’t read any activity—namely, you turning it on and driving it every day or so—then the computer assumes the battery is dead or something, and just shuts down the whole car…”

Itu baru cerita yang ’sepele’. Cerita seriusnya?

  • Seorang supervisor pemilu presiden dilarang ikutan nyoblos karena namanya mirip/tanggal lahirnya sama/nomor social security-nya sama dengan seorang felon (di Florida ex-felon dilarang ikut pemilu)
  • Mr W Bush boong soal buku kegemaran masa kecilnya.

He he, gaya bahasaku sudah mirip gayanya si Ikal belum?
Realis? Menurutku lebih tepatnya bombastis Pak *smirk*.
Hwa hwa, ampyun Gary & diBond!
